Bridgeport has been founded at the beginning of the Second World War with the name of “Industrie Meccaniche Donatini S.p.a.” At the end of the war began the manufacture of tyre valves. In 1960 it changed into the Italian branch of Bridgeport U.S.A. and since 1998 is Bridgeport s.r.l., entirely at Italian Company’s capital. In 1997 got ISO 9001 Certification, in 2001 ISO 9001:2000 Certification and in 2005 ISO TS 16949:2002 Certification. Bridgeport has always put the attention on the respect of the environment and, with that in mind, it has been started the implementation of the environment management system to obtain ISO 14001 Certification and the Safety Certification, planned within 2007.
